This record group consists of informational materials relating to pesticide control from the Michigan Wildlife Division for the years 1959-1961. Mainly photocopies of articles, clippings from news media, newsletters, advertisements, formal papers read before groups, informational statements, and printed monographs and technical bulletins relating to DDT, mercury and other organic pesticides used in control of agricultural, urban and industrial pests as well as transmission of certain diseases. Includes lists of members, newsletters, reports and informational statements relating to Michigan Pesticide Council appointed by Governor George Romney, April 1968. Also includes correspondence of Charles Shick, president of Michigan Association of Conservation Ecologists (1967).
